It can be quite difficult finding new things to do with the family, without stretching the budget and that’s why a day out at the races can be the perfect choice.
With the modern comforts of technology, we are all guilty of neglecting the importance of a day spent in the fresh air. A day out at the races will certainly get you outdoors and with lots of on- course activities that will keep the kids entertained; you can be sure that the journey home will be a happy one.
Racing is often overlooked as a day out for the family as it can be deemed expensive or you have to be interested in racing to visit a racecourse.
However, this is not the case as all under 18’s go free when accompanied by an adult and racing offers a wide range of activities to suit all ages, making it a very pocket friendly choice.
It is easy to keep your children entertained with dedicated family areas with activities that include pony riding, bouncy castles and some favourite iconic ‘meet and greet ‘characters to name but a few.
Meanwhile, the adults are able to relax by heading to one of the child-friendly eateries or indulge in extra quality family time by unpacking a picnic in the family enclosure, take in a race or two or kick back and relax with an ice cream whilst listening to live music on the bandstand.
And last but not least racecourses offer lots of open space for the children to run around and burn off that summer holiday energy. It is a destination definitely worth experiencing.
