With an easing of lockdown restrictions, some of our favourite outdoor attractions and gardens are re-re-opening over the coming weeks. Lots do still have some restrictions in place and require pre-booking, I have included details below but please check out details directly before travelling.

Outside playground, seating area and cafe for takeaway only opens Monday 6th July 2020.
Pre-booked basis, from Monday to Saturday each week. To ensure social distancing, 8 tables available to book in 2 hour slots each day as follows: 10am – 12pm 12:15pm – 2:15pm 2:30pm – 4:30pm There is no charge to book or enter, we simply ask that you book to avoid disappointment.
The main changes are that tickets must be booked online in advance, services will have limited capacity and we will only be operating non-stop services from Pickering to Levisham and Grosmont to Goathland.
Tickets will go on sale via our website to members from Wednesday 1 July at 10am and to the general public from Monday 6th July at 10am.
Castle Howard’s Gardens and Grounds is open for all visitors. Skelf Island opens Saturday 4th July 2020.
All visits will need to be pre-booked using the online booking system ONLY.
Please note that for now, the Adventure Playground and the House itself will remain closed along with the indoor cafe outlets. There will be some take away catering on offer and the Farm Shop and Garden Centre remain open.
Toilets available. The main toilets in the Courtyard will be closed, with the exception of the accessible toilet and the baby changing facility. Portable toilets will be available on the North Front.
Reopening Saturday 20th June with restrictions in place.
Visit the outside areas of the beautiful 16 acre site. Including: Outdoor museum exhibits, farm animals, nature trail, Viking village, Roman fort and railway station platform.
If you hold a 12 month ticket your right to return will be extended by 3 months. During the period that only the outside areas are open there is the option to pay half price to access for the day only.
Our new safety measures include: Protective screens around the reception desks; Hand sanitiser on entry to the buildings and on the top floor of the Art Gallery; Disposable hand towels in the toilets; PPE (gloves, masks and aprons) for staff when cleaning the venues, plus extra cleaning protocols; Staff monitoring at a safe distance to ensure that visitors are following the distancing guidelines.
Entry will be FREE throughout July, open Tuesday-Sunday, 10am-5pm.
Open Tuesday to Sunday and you can visit the Rare Breed Farm Park, Grounds and Gardens.
Play park opening Saturday 4th July – unfortunately the House will remain closed until further notice.

HALF DAY ADMISSION TICKETS We have split visiting times into two sessions in order for us to be able to control how many people are on site at one time. These sessions are morning – 9.30am to 1.30 and afternoon 1.30pm to 5.30pm – prices are £6.00 per adult and £3.50 per child
Sledmere friends members will be able to join either the morning or afternoon session without having to book
Initially welcoming Burton Agnes Hall members and their guests – if you could be tempted to make here your home from home, we’d be delighted for new members. In addition, between 20 – 50 day visitors subject to weather etc.
Serving woodfired pizza oven for picnics, and have masses of stunning plants propagated in our nursery for sale.

North York Moors National Park
Phased reopening of car parks and toilets. Currently open
Opening Monday 15th to Sunday 21st June, with booking access restricted to MEMBERS ONLY, with cards to be shown on arrival. From Monday 22nd June, entry is extended to Members and the General Public. There will be three daily slots which can be booked: 1000 x 1215; 1215 x 1430; 1430 x 1700. To enable as many people as possible to enjoy the Gardens, we’re asking everyone to only book one slot per day with a maximum of 5 people (adults and children) per booking. THE BOOKING SYSTEM WILL GO LIVE FROM 1000 SUNDAY 14TH JUNE.
The Lilypad Café will be open on a takeaway basis. The fish can be fed as usual, but we’re asking visitors to purchase all necessary fish food for their visit on arrival, as it will not be possible to return to the Visitor Centre once you have passed through it. Three unisex toilets are open
Sewerby Hall and Gardens: will start its phased reopening on Saturday 20th June. In the first phase, the zoo, the gardens, the café, the shop, and the toilets will reopen seven days a week. The opening hours for all the reopened facilities will be 10am to 4pm. In order to guarantee access, all customers should book in advance online before their visit. However, Annual Pass holders can access the site without having to book in advance, although they will have to join the queues on arrival. More details and booking on their website here.
Benningbrough Hall, York
The car park, garden, parkland and toilets at Beningbrough will reopen from Wednesday 3 June 2020. You will need to book tickets before you visit. Members can book for free, while non-members will need to pay when booking. Booking for tickets will open every Friday, please note they will be turning people away who arrive and haven’t booked.
Planning on reopening for sightseeing cruises and self drive boat hire on Saturday 4th July 2020.

Yorkshire Wildlife Park: Following the news that the government has reviewed its decision on current restrictions on the reopening of zoos and safari parks, Yorkshire Wildlife Park is open. A restricted number of tickets will go on sale at the weekend on the park website www.yorkshirewildlifepark.com. Facilities will be limited in line with government guidelines with play areas and indoor areas closed and take away food and drink on offer. Full information will be available on the website.
