Do your kids like to help out in the kitchen? These tasty and easy snack ideas are perfect for younger (and older) kids who enjoy whipping up delicious creations!
Peanut butter balls: These simple and melt-in-your-mouth delicious treats need only four ingredients, and your kids can do most of the steps themselves! First, you’ll want to soften three tablespoons of salted butter and mix it with ½ cup of creamy peanut butter. Then, gradually add in one cup of powdered sugar. Next, cover the mixture and put it in the fridge for about 15 minutes.
Your kids will love the next step: rolling and shaping the dough into 1-inch balls! Place the balls on a cookie sheet, cover them, and return them to the fridge for 20 minutes. Finally, melt one cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips. At this point, you’ll probably want to help younger kids dip each peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate using a fork.
After letting the excess chocolate drip off, place each peanut butter ball onto a cookie sheet covered in wax paper. You can also add sprinkles for a fun touch. Then cover them once again and put them in the fridge until you’re ready to eat them! These treats can be stored in the freezer for up to a month.
Toast with toppings: Toast is easy for kids to make once they’re old enough to safely use the toaster, and there are so many fun and yummy toppings to choose from!
