Looking for an exciting way to get your kids out in nature this summer? Dalby Forest Cycle Hub, nestled in the heart of Dalby Forest, offers an amazing range of mountain bike courses running throughout the holidays. 

These courses are crafted to provide children with the skills and confidence they need to explore the outdoors, have loads of fun, and enjoy the thrill of riding bikes. 

All courses are led by British Cycling qualified trainers with no more than 4 riders in any Learn-To-Ride course and a maximum of 10 riders in any other group, such as Young Riders Holiday Sessions. 

If you don’t have your own bike or helmet, we offer a 20% discount off the normal hire charge for course participants, but please book early to ensure a bike is available (bike hire is free for Learn To Ride). For bike hire only, please ring us on 01751 460585 and mention which course you’re booked on.

Please note that all riders must wear a suitable helmet. Helmets are available to purchase or hire, please get in touch in advance to make sure we have availability. NO HELMET – NO RIDE.

There are courses specifically designed for the kids:

• Young Riders Holiday Sessions  (7-10 years old) – This is our beginner’s course and is aimed at developing those mini shredders on the basics with some games along the way that will keep the learning fun.
• Young Riders Holiday Sessions (10-16 years old) – Our holiday session is all about fun and will build on core skills and develop your riding technique. 
• Learn To Ride – aimed at children aged under 10 years looking to learn the basics of riding a bike independently.
• Young Riders – aimed at 10 – 16-year-olds already able to ride a bike. They may be looking to develop technique and confidence to ride MTB trails at Dalby.

Young Riders Holiday Sessions: 2.5hrs – £30.50pp

• Two sessions: 7-10 years and 10 to 16 years old.
• Our course for young riders is designed to give them the correct methods to develop their riding.
• Max. ratio 1:10
• Recommended for beginner and intermediate riders.

Learn To Ride: 1.5hrs – £33pp

• Aimed at children aged under 10 years looking to learn the basics of riding a bike independently.
• If your child doesn’t have their own bike, one can be borrowed from us, FREE of charge.
• Book your session and then ring us to reserve a bike – we will need your child’s age and height.

• Aimed at 10 – 16 year olds already able to ride a bike.
• They may be looking to develop technique and confidence to ride MTB trails at Dalby.
• Max. ratio 1:8.
• Recommended for beginner and intermediate riders.
• Prerequisites: A mountain bike, helmet and some experience of mountain biking at blue grade
