A (Scarborough) Christmas Carol

December 7, 2017 - December 31, 2017

It’s a festive classic.

The story of Ebenezer Scrooge, the meanest man who ever lived, given a horrible shock on Christmas Eve by the ghost of his partner Jacob Marley, and guided on a journey of learning by three spirits, a time worm and a woman with a nut for a head.

Wait, what? A woman with a what now?!

Yes, this year the people who brought you Pinocchio are back with another round of ridiculous rhymes, silly songs and crazy characters. This is Charles Dickens’ most enduring tale, but not as you’ve ever seen it before! Will Mr. Scrooge learn his lesson before the rattling chickens get him? And will his servants live to tell the tale? Come along and find out! Fun for all the family.

The same creative team as Pinocchio bring you a fun, interactive, musical retelling of this classic story with just a little bit of silliness thrown in.

Writer Nick Lane says:
“What we’ve done again this time is to take the classic story that you know, and give it a funky twist… although, I’m pretty sure you won’t have seen a Dickens adaptation with a time worm in it, or a Ghost of Chirstmas Past who takes Scrooge to the wrong past!”
