An Evening With Julian Lloyd Webber featuring Jiaxin Lloyd Webber and Pam Chowhan.
As a member of almost certainly the most influential musical dynasty of modern times, Julian Lloyd Webber will take his audience on a magical musical journey while presenting a unique insight into his extraordinary life. This special evening will hear music by Bach, Faure, Saint Saens and Rachmaninov – alongside music by Julian’s brother Andrew and his father William – all introduced by Julian and expertly performed by Julian’s wife – the acclaimed fellow cellist Jiaxin Lloyd Webber and her pianist Pam Chowhan. (Julian Lloyd Webber will not be playing himself. Mr Webber retired from performing due to injury in 2014. This is an Evening hosted by Julian, with his musicians).
Rare video footage of Julian performing with the likes of Nigel Kennedy, Katherine Jenkins, Yehudi Menhuin, Joaquin Rodrigo, Cleo Laine, Stephane Grappelli and many others will be offset by Julian recounting stories and anecdotes of touring, recording sessions, concerts and TV shows as well as a taking a Question and Answer session with the audience.
Julian will also give an impromptu masterclass live at the performance to two young, aspiring local cellists.
