Catch Future Stars ‘Trilogy’ in Malton

October 11, 2019 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Classical music trio Trilogy make their debut at the Wesley Centre in Malton on October 11, 2019.

Formed in January this year, the Royal College of Music and Guildhall School of Music alumni are quickly making a name for themselves in the classical music world.

Paul Emberley Wesley Centre Development Lead said “We’re incredibly excited to welcome Trilogy. It’s really a unique opportunity to catch these hugely talented young musicians before they become the future stars of tomorrow. The reviews and reception received in their short career are remarkable.”

As individuals they perform with the London Symphony Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic and Philharmonia Orchestra.

Trilogy’s performance is part of a vibrant classical music concert series at The Wesley Centre, following fresh in the footsteps of Julian Lloyd Webber and Lesley Garrett.

Flute-player Amy-Jayne Milton, who is from Malton said: “As a young trio we aim to bring an exhilarating, fresh and memorable experience for audiences. The Wesley Centre is fast becoming a go-to venue, so it is an honour to perform in this unique setting.”

Amy has been described as, ‘one of the top players of her generation’ by the living legend of the flute, Sir James Galway.

The trio, who are all in their early twenties, also includes harpist Bethan Griffiths who was awarded a First Class Honours Degree from the Royal College of Music in 2017, where she was the 2016 recipient of the RCM Harp Prize, and has recently gained her Master of Performance degree. Violist Henrietta Hill has a Masters in Performance from the Guildhall School of Music, where she won various awards.

Paul said: “It is great to support young innovative musicians at the start of their career and helps to further throw the spotlight on our historic building and its transformation into a vibrant centre for the whole community to enjoy.”

Trilogy’s repertoire on 11th October will contain many original arrangements, new compositions and classical favourites including Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.

Rave reviews from their recent performance at the Ryedale Festival have flooded in, with audience member John Raper saying: “This was the first time I had heard Trilogy perform and they were just magnificent, masters of their instrument and combined with a strong and rhythmic accent. A night I will never forget.”
