Travel Through Christmases Past at Ryedale Folk Museum
Experience Christmas in times gone by – in authentic settings! The open-air museum has 20 heritage buildings, representing a range of periods from the reconstructed Iron Age Roundhouse, all the way through to a 1950’s village store. What better setting than a Tudor cruck cottage to discover the world of Tudor Christmas feasting or sup on a glass of wassail punch? Where else to meet our traditional green-garbed Father Christmas, if not in our historic Victorian setting? Don’t miss our prehistoric winter rituals or our nostalgic 1940’s NAAFI cafe – anyone for Camp Coffee?
