In the week leading up to Remembrance Sunday on 11th November 2018, Eden Camp encourages all visitors to the museum to lay a Remembrance Rock and take a moment to pay their respects and remember the sacrifices made by all members of HM Forces to maintain our safety and freedom.
Visitors can bring a pre-painted rock or use Eden Camp’s rock decorating station where everything that you need to create your Remembrance Rock will be provided (subject to availability).
The rocks can be laid at the museum or taken away to be kept or rehidden in different locations across the country.
Participants are then encouraged to post their designs and any rocks they’ve found on to the Remembrance Rocks Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/remembrancerocks/
The event will run for seven days from Monday 5th November until Remembrance Sunday on 11th November 2018.
Please note that the museum will be open as normal on these days. Events are attended voluntarily and as such they may be affected by influences such as adverse weather conditions.
