Howsham Mill, Howsham Hall Road, Howsham, York, North Yorkshire, YO60 7PA Come and see the recently restored Georgian watermill and swing bridge that gives access to the island on which the mill stands for free. Guides will be on hand to tell you the history of the mill and its more recent past and restoration. You will also be able to see the Archimedes Screw turbines and restored waterwheel that give the mill a 21st century use – generating hydro-electricity.
