Learn how to identify trees and have a go at using tools to make a variety of objects from different types of wood.
After meeting in the main carpark, we will head out into the parkland and look at the trees to study their leaves, twigs and fruits. Children can make leaf kebabs as they go. We’ll then return to the woodland education area for refreshments. Family groups will then be shown how to use tools safely to make a hedgehog necklace or keyring.
This session will complete 1/8 activities needed to earn the Wildlife Trust Hedgehog Award
Children must be accompanied by at least one adult.
