Come and help us celebrate the 28th year of the Annual Slingsby Duck Race on Saturday 13th July, a fun day out for families of all ages, organised by Friends of Slingsby School who raise money to benefit the children of the village primary school. All the fun and activities run from 11am to 3pm with the ducks being released into the beck at 2pm and is held in the Slingsby Sports Field located adjacent to the village church. Prizes will be awarded to the first three ducks to cross the line.
Entry is free and all the usual family fun day activities from bouncy castle, face painting, beat the goalie, tombola and raffles, refreshments including a BBQ and more, are available throughout the day. Ducks can be sponsored for £2 each or 3 for £5 prior to the race day at various events including Hovingham Market on Saturday 6th July or direct from Slingsby C.P. School.
