Saturday 27th May – Beck Isle Museum 10am – 4pm FREE ENTRY Celebrate the Beck Isle Museums 50th Anniversary with a day of special activities as the museum looks back to the 1960s. Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th May Malton Food Lovers Festival. Expect heaving stalls, delicious street food, talks & tastings. With a kids’ area, live music, kids’ cookery, a competition stage, vintage fairground, and the Talbot Yard Food Court there is plenty to explore and entertain the whole family.
Sunday 28th to Monday 29th May Nunnington Hall 10.30am to 5pm. Come and explore the natural world; meet unusual creatures with the Lion Learners animal encounters, join a bug hunt, make a bird box, place your bets on a snail race, plant seeds and go bird watching. 27th May to 29th May, Scarborough Kite Festival 11am to 5pm. Get to grips with the art of kite flying at Scarborough Castle. Expert kite flyers will dazzle you with their skills as they create a spectacle on the headland. See gigantic kites in flight, watch synchronised demonstrations to music, have a go at making your very own kite and try it out in the family flying area where we’ll also give you some top tips on making it soar. 27th – 29th May Whitby Abbey – Dracula Perched high on a cliff, it’s easy to see why the haunting remains of Whitby Abbey were inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic tale of ‘Dracula’. Think you know the story of Dracula? Think again. To truly understand Bram Stoker’s gothic icon, you need to watch his tale performed live in the setting of the writer’s inspiration, Whitby Abbey. Take in the gothic splendour of one of the most atmospheric abbeys in England, as three actors bring the famous story of Dracula to life before your eyes. Move throughout the abbey with the high-energy actors as the story unfolds. Promenade performances suitable for all the family.

Saturday 3rd June 2017 Flamingo Land – Party In The Park with 5 After Midnight and Sam Lavery, Don’t rush home after an amazing day exploring our Theme Park & Zoo. Get in a party mood instead and stay with us for an evening packed with spectacular live entertainment. The fun starts at 6pm, with a variety of live support acts before our 2 main acts take to the Riverside One all-weather stage, with what is sure to be exhilarating performances. Admission to Party In The Park is free for visitors attending during the day, Annual Pass holders and Holiday Village guests. For anyone who would just like to enjoy one hour of theme park and zoo followed by an evening of live entertainment, tickets are now available online on flamingoland.co.uk, allowing entry from 5pm for only £10. Take a garden tour, enjoy a brass band performance or get hands-on with the family trail and planting activities.

Castle Howard Sat 27th May – Sun 4th June. This spring bank holiday, come and have some fun outdoors as Rusticus bring to life some of the ancient myths and legends associated with the statues found in our gardens. Hesiod the storyteller will transport you to the very peak of Mount Olympus, through an engaging blend of storytelling, music, games and activities – a fabulous interactive family experience. Be part of the adventures of Apollo, even take part in a thrilling chariot race! Adventures take place at 11am, 12.30pm, 2pm and 3.30pm. Plus craft activities taking place daily between 11am and 4pm .
May-Hem Circus at Piglets Adventure Farm Come one come all to Piglets crazy May-Hem Circus this May half term. With death defying stunts, upside down juggling and amazing acrobatics, all in the giant pink big top, it’s unmissable fun for the entire family, from 27th May to 4th June. Plus, there’s NEW Mini Football and don’t miss all the usual adventure farm fun, including Truffles Farmhouse & Barn, giant sandpit, bouncing pillows, crazy golf, barrel rides and go karts. And that’s all before you see the cute animals! You’ll find lots out in the paddocks and in the animal barn. The Balloon Tree – Our superfresh homegrown asparagus is now in full flow as well as our superfresh homegrown strawberries are ready for picking from late May onwards! Come and PYO or buy ready picked strawberries fresh that morning from the farm. The farmshop and newly extended cafe are open 7 days a week. A great experience for all the family – entertain the children in the play area while you relax in the cafe garden but still able to keep an eye on them. Call 01759 373023 for more information.
