Nunnington Hall

Saturday 10th to Sunday 18th February 2024 10.30am – 4pm

Travel back to 1924 this February half term and see if you possess the skills to gain employment as a servant for the Fife’s here at Nunnington Hall.

The year is 1924 and the Fife family has tasked their Butler, Mr Pickcott, with hiring several new positions suitable for a country lifestyle. They are currently in need of a new housemaid, footman, lady’s maid and oddboy. If you visit during the February half term, you may have the opportunity to secure employment. However, the question remains: do you possess the skills and meet the requirements necessary to fulfil the responsibilities of the desired positions?

A house trail in the form of a CV guides visitors through the various roles performed by household servants in 1924 and is the perfect indoor activity for all the family this half-term. There are several activities that form the trail, including ironing, dusting the bannisters, cross stitch and flower arranging.

Booking not required. Entry to the event is FREE but normal admission applies.
