In June 2020, I was due to ride in the Ride of Their Lives at York Racecourse in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. This has been postponed and every effort is being made to hold it in 2021.

In the meantime, let’s raise a bit of money whilst testing your racehorse and emoji knowledge and have a little bit of fun in Lockdown 3.

Perhaps set up a mini competition with your friends and family – I can issue scores afterwards – get them involved, the more quiz participants, the more vital help Macmillan Cancer Support can provide….£29 pays for a Macmillan nurse for 1 hour, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support.

There are 3 rounds – some past horses, some present horses (still in training):

Horses trained in Yorkshire (both Flat and National Hunt)
National Hunt horses (not trained in Yorkshire)
Flat horses (not trained in Yorkshire)

Terms & Conditions

• This quiz prize draw is open to any person resident in the UK who is over 18 years old. By entering, the participant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
• The person with the most correct answers will win the luxury hamper from Malton Relish. In the event of a draw, the winner will be picked at random.
• Each quiz sheet will be numbered and that number will go into a prize draw to win a Bottle of Champagne
• The winners will be selected at random from all entries received.
• The closing date is Midnight Sunday 14th February 2021.
• The winners will be notified week commencing Monday 15th February 2021.
• The prizes are not transferable and no cash alternative is available.
• In the event of any dispute regarding the Terms and Conditions, the conduct, results and any other matters relating to this quiz and prize draw, the decision of the Judge shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
