This Easter, North Yorkshire Outdoor Learning Service is running Adventure Club at East Barnby near Whitby.

Young people aged 8 to 14 can take part in the fun-filled club, packed with activities which could include climbing and caving to high ropes and water sports.

With us, young people will have a school holiday experience like no other with a range of diverse outdoor activities. Whether they join us for one, two, three or more days, Adventure Club will keep young people happy and entertained all day.

At East Barnby, the North Yorkshire Moors National Park is our playground! Through our exciting activities, young people will be active and in touch with nature, build social skills and learn team building.

Adventure Club opens at 8.30am and ends at 4.45pm with collection by 5.15pm. We can also offer a pick up from Whitby Leisure Centre at 9.00am and then drop back off there at 4.45pm. There is no additional charge for this service.

Adventure Club at East Barnby takes place on April 2-5.

It is priced at £50 per young person per day and discounts are available when booking for more than one young person/day.

We offer Sports Camps for daycare for 5-11 year olds, running every weekday in half term. A full day of games and activities, all food, snacks and refreshments included. 9am to 3pm, with early drop-off from 8:15am for only £26.95.

At Blue Sky Day Nursery we like to offer totally flexible care no matter what your childcare needs!

Cost is just £35.50 a day and booking is as flexible as you want.

Our team are all first aid, safeguarding and food hygiene trained.

We have funded places available for 2, 3 + 4 year olds for eligible children and we also offer creche, day nursery, preschool and wrap around hours.

We have a fantastic team who ‘Promise to care for your child as they would their own’ and this coupled with a delicate mix of adult led and child directed activities makes learning through play educational, exciting, often messy and always fun.

All meals are provided and are cooked on the premises to meet the healthy eating plate menu.

Our lovely nursery mixes colour and light to provide a happy, homely and safe and loving environment with a large well equipped outdoors area that can be enjoyed whatever the weather.

FEAST brings the fun to the school holidays, offering loads of different activities for everyone to take part in, helping children and young people in North Yorkshire to stay engaged, active, and fed this Easter.

All children and young people across North Yorkshire can get involved in a range of activities, with free places and a free meal for eligible children and young people, thanks to funding from the Department for Education. Some of the activities we offer are specifically for children and young people with special educational needs, and many others are inclusive for those children.

If your child is eligible for benefits-related Free School Meals or is made eligible by exception (see the website FAQs for details), you will receive a voucher from their school. This will enable you to book school holiday activities that are part of the FEAST programme for free, using the online platform HolidayActivities.

A Creative Art Adventure – Two-day Workshop – Mon 25 March – Tue 26 March, 10am – 3pm

Prepare to embark on an enchanting journey through a world of creativity this Easter holiday. This two-day creative workshop with Nicola Hutchinson is all about exploration and discovery: learning to use new mediums in new ways, in a fun and relaxed setting. This is a great way to really enjoy the process of creating Art, learn new skills and experiment with a variety of art materials all provided. Perfectly designed for children who want to explore, develop and experiment with drawing, painting, and collage skills. We’ll paint, print, draw and create using many different materials and techniques, learn new things and as always have lots of fun and make great new friends!

All levels and abilities welcome, snacks and drinks provided, if you haven’t paid for the lunch option,

Explore the Art of Illustration with Nicola Hutchinson Two-day workshop – Wed 27 March – Thu 28 March, 10am – 3pm
Welcome to the world of illustration! Artist and Illustrator Nicola Hutchinson hosts this exciting two day workshop for students aged 11-16.

Giving inspiration to draw, passing on techniques and hints about how to develop your own artistic style of work. This is a great way to explore the art of illustration and character design in a relaxed environment. We will communicate with our pens, creating unique work with a message and purpose. Students will be introduced to the many strands of illustration, using real life inspiration from a diverse range of illustrators, get to understand more deeply what illustration is and how it is used.

Learn new techniques, develop your own style, learn the power of the pen and create compelling impactful pieces you’ll be proud of. Students will create a unique body of art that expresses their talent and artistic identity. All levels and abilities welcome.
