With children being the future, at Starchild Nurseries we believe that they should be given everything they need to get the best start in life. This takes many forms, from excellent resources and amazing play areas, to a warm, friendly and safe environment that they’ll love visiting.
Are you ready to enter a wonderful world of extraordinary here with us?
Our main priority is to offer the best possible care for the children whilst supporting them through their learning and development, ensuring ALL children’s individual needs are met whilst doing so. Our facilities allow children to develop their physical, creative and sensory skills as well as much more. Every single one of the children and their families and valued and we work very closely with them when implementing new ideas, recording feedback to ensure we do our best to make sure everyone is happy.
Children learn through their own interests and thoughts and our highly experienced and dedicated team are always on hand to offer the best support for them and extend their learning. Offering praise and encouragement throughout.
We have great facilities – there’s a big indoor heated sandpit, messy/painting area, mini rock climbing wall for 2.5year olds+, all artificial grass downstairs to replicate the outdoors. When your little ones get a bit sleepy, there are lovely snooze pods upstairs in a beautifully decorated designated room.
We like to involve the parents – holding regular stay and play sessions where parents are invited to join us and their children and engage in activities with them, discuss their child’s development with their child’s key person whilst enjoying a hot beverage and a biscuit.
We have amazing weekly visits from Lingo tots and Science tots and termly visits from Zoo lab. The children get so much out of these sessions and really enjoy them.
We get out and about – have you seen the Kiddie Bus around Malton? Trips and outings to local tourist spots such as Castle gardens, Riverside View Park, the local library to attend groups, Flamingo Land, the duck pond at lakeside and the cattle market. The children also do shopping for the nursery at the local fruit and vegetable store. We also enjoy visits to Peagreen Pottery where we are able to show off our fantastic creative skills.
We love the outdoors here at Starchild Nurseries Malton, so that is why it is so important to plan as much as we can outdoors for the children to be able to explore and learn in the outdoor environment. The children getting into their all in one suits and wellies and heading to the local fields for ‘Woodland Adventures’ Exploring the outdoors and talking about the living things they see and using natural resources to create activities using their exciting imaginations.
Children choose – the children love being spontaneous and deciding what to do and where to go based on their lovely imaginations, helping the staff to plan activities and outings to suit these and keep the children enthralled in what they are doing.
Our staff are brilliant – they thrive on maintaining our good practice and complete training courses via Noodle Now as well as attending local face to face training courses and workshops.
Our food is homemade – it is all food is prepared on site by the staff with the assistance of the children.
