Aimed at mums to be who are due very soon and new mummies.

This online course is packed full of information on newborn development so you can understand your newborn baby, making it easier for you to help your baby transition from womb to world. Understand how your baby’s digestion works, what their sleep patterns are and what you can do to recreate the womb.

It’s packed with hours of content for mums to understand their newborn development, techniques to settle and soothe baby, baby massage strokes and baby yoga movements to help wind and lots of self care tips for mums too.

There is also a section on Mummy Care. With self care advice, meditations and content on returning to exercise and pelvic floor health, it helps you to adjust during this transition period too.

For this very special launch, I am offering this fourth trimester course which has hours of content for only £9.99. It is usually £19.99.

Not only do you get lifetime access to the course to learn in your own time but you also get access to a private Facebook group dedicated to mothers during the fourth trimester where I will be regularly appearing to offer support, guidance and answer your questions.

This price will not be priced at £9.99 for long so don’t let this offer pass you by if you are a new mummy or mum to be, getting ready for the birth of your baby, then this is perfect course for you

One of Sledmere’s most popular and unique events is being adapted so you don’t have to miss out on a mesmerising tour of the spectacular deer park or the opportunity to get up close their beautiful herd of red deer and meet all the new born fawns.

The Deer safari is going to be a virtual tour available on the Sledmere social media channels on Friday 10th July at 5.30pm with a live question and answers session with the Farm Manager following at 6pm, questions are encouraged to be sent in prior to the event via messenger or email etc but as this is a live streaming you can also ask questions as we go along.

Usually planned for late June, just as the calving season is in full swing, the deer safari is an amazing and unique experience which is one of the Sledmere teams favourite events too.  Jonny Blakeston, Sledmeres events coordinator says ‘it’s been a strange year for events this year and we’ve been so disappointed not to have been able to share so many of our exciting activities with everyone.  We were so keen not to let this ‘once a year’ opportunity to pass by as and we’ve thought long and hard about how we can get everyone there and make sure you can see all the action from the Deer Park live from your home’

The NSPCC Pregnancy in Mind service is for pregnant women who are experiencing anxiety and/or depression. We know that pregnancy can be an anxious time for many women and that the current circumstances are likely to be causing additional stress and uncertainty.

We usually run a group work programme but as we are currently unable to offer this we are offering a remote one-to-one service.

The service will offer approximately 4 x weekly sessions. The focus is around reducing anxiety/improving mood and providing techniques and strategies to manage this. Once you’ve contacted us a worker will be allocated and they will be in touch to have a chat with you about your needs so they can make sure the sessions offer you the support you need.

Contact will be by phone initially but then if you prefer we can use alternative media to support video contact.

Please get in touch to find out how we can offer you support.

If a worker isn’t immediately available then someone

will get back in touch as soon as possible.

Please leave your name, contact number and email address.

Scarborough Museums Trust is presenting a packed programme of exciting seaside and animal-themed stories, crafts and activities this summer – with the help of Lari the Seagull.

Between 22 July and 20 August, the Trust’s Learning Team will be taking over its social media and adding family information and activities based around objects in the Scarborough Borough Collection.

On Wednesdays from 22 July to 19 August, families can enjoy Seaside Adventures, from meeting rockpool creatures to magical selkies – mythical seal folk – all inspired by paintings at Scarborough Art Gallery, and designed by storyteller and artist, Jan Bee Brown.

On Thursdays from 23 July to 20 August, Animal Antics will take participants on a journey across the world inspired by animals in the natural history collections.

The highlight each week will be a new audio story written especially for Scarborough Museums Trust by Jan Bee Brown, released each Wednesday. The stories will bring paintings from the collections to life, weaving together folk tales and local characters and landmarks, from Dottie the Donkey to the Hispaniola.

A short video will also be released each Thursday showing children how to make one of the art activities. It will include voiceovers by children from the Stephen Joseph Theatre’s Youth Theatre group.

Families are invited to share pictures of their artworks with Scarborough Museums Trust, using the hashtag #SummerAdventures

For families that don’t have printers the Trust will be providing free activity templates each week which can be collected from Scarborough Art Gallery. Visiting the gallery will be a little bit different for a while. Due to social distancing only a limited number of families are allowed to visit at any one time and you may need to wait if the gallery is very busy.

The activities and videos will be available on the family learning page:
