Katie said it made her feel scared. Both children had suffered from neglect and differing levels of physical abuse. Sam was being taunted at school by some older boys on a regular basis, and Katie didn’t really have any friends.
Now that’s all changed – Katie is busy planning her upcoming birthday party and Sam has joined an after school junior football club – all thanks to the incredible support and love from their fostering family. Here at Fostering North Yorkshire we know how important it is to keep brothers and sisters like Sam and Katie together, and provide them with a safe and loving environment.
