Join us for a fun filled family day out ‘Down on the Farm’.
This is a special opportunity to meet all the animals who live at Sledmere’s accredited Conservation Farm Park, learn all about what makes them a rare breed, how we care for them and what makes them special to us. Our Shires will be on hand to show off their driving skills along with other demonstrations on harnessing, and they will also be treating you to an in hand parade.
The Rare breed survival trust will be here showcasing other rare breed animals along with conservation organisations to help give a full understanding of what it takes to keep the countryside safe and sustainable for years to come.
There will be lots of opportunities to get involved with ‘have a go’ at being a ‘Young Handler’ using our prize winning flock of Leicester Longwool Sheep, Fun farm yard themed games for all of the family, fun vegetable craft classes, including wonky veg and Vegetable-pals ( making your new pal out of veg) – please keep an eye on social media for full classes and entry details.
