Down on the Farm

A special chance to meet the goats, sheep, pigs and horses who live on the Rare Breed Conservation Farm Park, along with some of their friends who will be with us for the day.
Our accredited Conservation Farm Park is once again hosting an extra special day for you to join in with all the fun ‘Down on the farm’.
In the main ring we have lots of demonstrations to watch and enjoy, including, driving and in hand displays with the Sledmere Shires and their newest arrivals, Dog and Duck sheep dog demonstration, Rare Breed parades along with some activities to take part in such as’ tug of war’ and our very own Down on the Farm Sports Day.
We will be running family fun craft classes to enter on the day with prizes to be won.
Joining us to showcase their great work are the Rare Breed Survival Trust, York and district Guild of weavers, spinners and dyers, Wolds Way honey, Wolds hedgehog rescue, the RSPB and Leicester Longwool Society. Learn all about how they help to keep the countryside safe and sustainable for years to come.
Normal admission applies for the event and it is free to Sledmere Friends Members.
