Public meeting, Tuesday 15 March, for the Library of Things, Malton & Norton. It’s taking place at 7 pm in the upstairs room of the Stew and Oyster, Market Place, Malton.
The Library of Things is planned to be a lending library of useful objects. Things like tools, that people use occasionally and don’t need to own. The project has initial grant funding, and the meeting is to present ideas and seek feedback. Also, to seek volunteers to help with the various activities involved in a successful Library of Things. And, of course, donations of suitable “things” are welcome!
Come along and find out what is going on. If you can’t make it, you can contact the organisers at libraryofthingsmn@gmail.com.
Derwent Eco hopes that its next project will be a repair cafe. We’ve teamed up with Repair Cafe International. That gives us access to lots of information, including advice on running the operation and doing repairs.
