Highlights include two massive events in the grounds: Spring Family Fun Day on Thursday, 28 March, and the return of firm favourite Medieval Jousting on 31 March, Easter Sunday.
The Spring Family Fun Day is an exciting outdoor event and will be filled with action-packed fun and activities including sport, play, workshops, giant inflatables, circus activities, and face painting (additional £3 per person).
The jousting event features England’s number one jousting team from Nottingham, who will bring approximately 20 jousters and their horses, including the Black Knight and Sir Michael of York. Jousting displays will be at 1pm and 2.30pm on the front events field.
A programme of other fun events will take place throughout the holidays from Rusticus Adventures: Thumbelina, through to Easter Magic and Face Painting.
The house, gardens and zoo will all be open throughout the school holidays, offering a great day out for all the family.
Councillor Barbara Jefferson, East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s Cabinet member for coastal communities and heritage, said : “The Easter programme at Sewerby Hall and Gardens is always a great start to the season, and I am very excited to see that this year we have not only the ever-popular medieval jousting, but also a Family Fun Day as well. Come along with all the family and enjoy Easter at this superb attraction!”
