Join Hidden Horizons and Climb Trees and learn the basics of roped tree access in a 1 hour taster session.
Roped tree climbing is an exciting way to gain access to upper reaches of the canopy – while simultaneously exercising your entire body. From here you can relax and gain unique views of the area. You can also explore the canopy of your tree using limb walking techniques or take a leap into a neighbouring tree to find to have a look around and find our targets. It is also an opportunity for you to learn about tree identification and the ecology of the woodland.
The price includes all equipment, and one leader for every two participants. You just need to bring sensible clothes, footwear, and enthusiasm!
The minimum age for this event is 16 years old (all under 18s must be accompianed), you do need to be reasonably fit and able for this event, and have a minimum waist size of 27 inches and a maximum of 39 inches. As a test if you are able hold your own body weight on a door frame for 10 seconds then you are likley to enjoy the day much more!
Upon booking you will recive an email with all the details of where to meet, what to bring etc. The location shown on this page is in fact the Courtyard at Dalby (the nearest postcode!), the location is Haygate carpark, the first carpark on the right if you enter Dalby from the Pickering/Thornton-le-Dale end.
The price includes free access to the Dalby Toll road.
