Is there free parking and can I get a nice coffee?
Yes, Pocklington is a lovely town; I often meet friends there who live in York, East Yorkshire and Hull as a good half way point. It’s an easy drive, a huge plus for me, is the abundance of free parking. I love the amount of independent shops and cafes, and one of my regular stops when I visit the town is Footloose.
They are a family run, independent shoe shop with a great range of children’s and lady’s shoes. There are free parking spaces outside, or a short distance away on the surrounding streets and free car parks.
Do they fit the shoes?
Of course, they specialise in shoe fitting – measuring and fitting to make sure the shoe is just right. They leave plenty of growing room too so you don’t need to worry, they won’t be too small by the end of September.
Are they good with children?
The staff are great with children and it’s a perfect place to make sure you are getting the right size and shoe for your child. Both my children have had their shoes fitted here from being little and have always felt at ease.
Do they have plenty of choice?
They have a good selection, inlcuding girls and boys school shoes, trainers, boots and sandals, with new stock coming in all the time and for each season. They stock some great brands too, both for children and adults.
So if you fancy a nice day out, and to get your child’s feet fitted and look at shoes at the same time, head to Pocklington!
Find them at 47 Market Place, Pocklington, YO42 2AP.
