Malton & Norton Musical Theatre present a great pantomime in 2020.
A less commonly told pantomime story (to us anyway) with great songs, fantastic dancing from the troupe of Kirkham Henry Performing Arts and lots of fun! The directors Rory Queen and Mark Boler have done a great job telling the story and keeping it original with good humour throughout the performance.
The cast were brilliant and the costumes were great especially the savages. A particular favourite has to be the puppetry “under the sea”. This was really effective and the kids loved it. The fish and jelly fish were just fantastic. So nice to see something different.
It kept all the pantomime fun, of course with members of the audience on the stage, a touch of magic, sing offs, “it’s behind you” and a final sing along. My little boy, Henry also had a trip onto the stage which made his night, despite looking very nervous!
The hard work that has gone into this performance is very evident from beginning to end, both on and off the stage. It really is great fun for all the family, with something for everyone.
For many children, a pantomime is their first visit to the theatre and this one would most certainly have them coming back for more, even better that it is right on our doorstep!
Robinson Crusoe runs until Saturday 25th January 2020
