There is now an opportunity to see Father Christmas in Malton as part of a very special show by Magical Quests North. Taking place on Sunday 13th December in the Milton Rooms, Emerald the Elf will be hosting a socially distanced adventure for all the family.
Magical Quests are a local children’s party and entertainment company, and their brand of interactive fun is a hit with children locally (the adults often find that they enjoy themselves too…). This year has posed a social distancing challenge, as last year’s Magical Quests Santa’s Grotto had each session attended by over 40 children and was absolutely packed!
“We knew this year would have to be a different experience”, says Ceri, the Director of Magical Quests North (and Elf in disguise). “We felt more than ever that families would enjoy our brand of interactive fun in a Santa experience that could take place safely and still provide some Grotto magic!”. Shows last half an hour and start at 10.30am/12pm/1.30pm/3pm.
Thanks to the amount of space in the Milton Rooms hall, family groups will be safely spread out, and the theatrical experience will see Emerald and Father Christmas take to the stage. The show remains interactive, with children being asked to join in games from their seats, and helping Emerald find Santa in time for Christmas. But how will each child receive their gift safely? “There will be a bit of magic to make sure this happens, and we will still provide photo opportunities for children and families to pose near Father Christmas”, says Ceri/Emerald. If lockdown is extended and the show cannot go ahead, customers will all receive a free refund, or the offer of an alternative experience.
Thanks to the generosity of Visit Malton CIC, there are a number of free tickets available for each show. Ceri says, “We felt that local families deserved an affordable Father Christmas experience, so we were able to keep tickets at £5 per person. The generosity of Visit Malton has enabled this to happen, and we were delighted when they offered to also fund free places for local families in financial hardship”. Magical Quests can be contacted on north@magicalquests.com for the password for the free tickets, so please do get in touch if you have children on free school meals or your family has experienced financial difficulties due to the events of this year – every child deserves a trip to Santa.
