Ready to stomp like a stegosaurus at the seaside this September? Make sure you head to Scarborough for the 2022 Yorkshire Fossil Festival!
At Scarborough Spa your host will be The Rock Showman who will introduce festival speakers and acrobatic performances from The Sun Court. Make your way to the Sun Court Suite and Promenade Lounge to meet fossil experts.
Stop off at the Rotunda to enjoy free entry to the Museum all festival weekend, before making your way to Scarborough Art Gallery for a workshop with Quicksand artist, Emma Gibson.
Head to the Brunswick Centre to the Pop Up Museum and discover Scarborough’s Lost World – see dinosaur footprints, fossils from the Scarborough Museums collection and learn about the geological wonders of the Yorkshire Coast.
Meet Bruno the T. rex and a giant Stegosaurus along some equally ferocious friends who will be roaming the high street.
Throughout the whole festival weekend you can take part in Dinosaur Footprint Hunts on the South Bay with Hidden Horizons and join the Let’s Circus team as they Chalk With Dinosaurs around the South Bay.
Be sure to check out the film programme on Saturday at the Stephen Joseph Theatre for some Fossil Film Fest treats including The Flintstones and One Million Years BC.
